1. Who we are

AI Eulogy Writer operates the website at https://heartfelteulogy.com. We help people write personalized eulogies using AI. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@heartfelteulogy.com.

2. Data we collect

When you use our service, we collect the following information:

  • Form inputs — the name of the deceased, your relationship to them, personal memories and anecdotes, tone and duration preferences.
  • Email address — optionally provided to receive the PDF by email and to save your work.
  • Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Technical data — IP address (for rate limiting), browser type, referring URL. We do not use tracking cookies.

3. How we use your data

  • To generate your personalized eulogy using AI.
  • To deliver your PDF by email if you provided an address.
  • To send a single follow-up email if you started but did not complete your purchase (within 48 hours). You will not receive further marketing emails.
  • To process your payment via Stripe.
  • To prevent abuse via rate limiting.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

We use the following trusted third parties to operate our service:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Neon — database hosting (your eulogy content is stored securely).
  • Anthropic / OpenRouter — AI generation. Your memories are sent to the AI model to generate your eulogy and are not used to train AI models.
  • Vercel — website hosting and performance analytics.

5. Data retention

Your eulogy content and associated data are retained for as long as necessary to provide the service. If you would like your data deleted, contact us at hello@heartfelteulogy.com and we will delete it within 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing for follow-up communications.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and we never access your card details. Database access is restricted and encrypted at rest.
